ARTICULATE STORYLINE BASIC LEVEL MODULE

Course Description:

Articulate Storyline provides students with the knowledge and hands-on practice they need to develop and build software demonstrations, interactive simulations, quizzes, and much more. In addition to learning key concepts, students also learn best practices for creating and publishing Storyline projects.

Learning Objectives:

  • In this course, the participants will learn the following:
  • Understand the Storyline workflow process and storyboarding
  • Understand Scenes and Slides
  • Use the Timeline feature to change object timing
  • Understand Layers
  • Publish your project to HTML5 and SWF files
  • Add narration by recording or importing audio
  • Increase user interactivity with click, highlight, and text entry boxes
  • Add interest by inserting rollovers
  • Insert question and scoring slides
  • Create interest by branching to different Slides and Scenes
  • Import PowerPoint slides into a project
  • Creating hyperlinks to websites and to another project

Target Audience:

The audience for this course is beginning Storyline users who need to understand the basics to become productive with the tool. Articulate Storyline appeals to a wide variety of audiences, typically grouped in training and education, sales and marketing, or technical support and documentation.

ARTICULATE STORYLINE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL MODULE

Course Description:

Storyline Intermediate builds on the foundation skills of Storyline Fundamentals by providing practical practice for users to expand their storyline capabilities and tailor the learner experience. In this class, we will explore in depth many media features including audio and video best practices, animations, storyline variables, triggers, cue points, and student reporting.

 

We’ll also take a close look at the relationship between Storyline and other Articulate products.

Learning Objectives:

  • In this course, the participants will learn the following:
  • Create custom scenarios in Storyline
  • Work with audio files and video files
  • Understand detailed graphic properties
  • Using cue points
  • Create a custom Preloader
  • Implement interactive objects
  • Use and display project variables

Target Audience:

The audience for this course is intermediate Articulate Storyline users who want to take their work to the next level. At least 3-6 months of Storyline experience is needed for this class, or completion of our Storyline Fundamentals class.

ARTICULATE STORYLINE ADVANCED LEVEL MODULE

Course Description:

Articulate Storyline Advanced Level Module provides users with the knowledge and practical skills they need to develop and build advanced interactions, expand Storyline’s functionality, and better understand the Storyline project process.

 

This class is for those who are familiar with Storyline’s basic features such as scenes, story views, slides, layers, prompts, timelines, importing text-characters-videos, making simple tests and assessments, and other basic functions, and would like to gain a deeper understanding of Storyline. Throughout Plot Essentials, this course builds on fundamental skills by providing students with hands-on training to broaden plot capabilities and tailor the learner experience. In this course, we will discuss in depth several media features including audio and video best practices, transitions, plot factors, prompts, cue points, and student reporting.

Learning Objectives:

  • In this course, the participants will learn the following:
  • Fully Branding a Storyline Template
  • Create custom scenarios in Storyline
  • Work with audio files and video files
  • Understand detailed graphic properties
  • Use cue points
  • Create a custom Preloader
  • Implement interactive objects
  • Use and display project variables
  • Combine Storyline features into seamless and integrated products.
  • Use the Timeline, Scenes, and Layers more efficiently
  • Use variables
  • Use JavaScript with Storyline
  • Prepare a Storyline project for use with a Learning Management System
